(Hopefully *NOT* in a firetruck!)
Today was our first FULL day as Decatur pseudo-residents. Seeing as we are not yet *sleeping* in Decatur (other than that nap I took on the floor of the condo hoping to beat off the sinus headache that knocked me down), we can’t really claim to truly reside there, can we?
We took it all in – five minute commutes to LEAD Homeschool classes and the Atlanta Gymnastics Center, a shopping trip at Baby Kroger, a picnic at the Fifth Avenue School with friends for Chloe, a solo trip to the Decatur Library for Camille, and dinner to-go from the Pita Pit.
In addition, Camille and I wandered around the square, taking in the Walk & Roll to School Rally. Though Camille “rolls” out of bed to go to homeschool and Chloe will go to the Fifth Ave School (two miles is too far too walk), I hoped to get information on bike safety classes for the girls as I was unable to find anything suitable by searching online. And, I was in luck! I met a person from , a new business offering bike safety classes for kids — I hope that I can get the girls into their classes as I’d love for them to be able to bike around Decatur on their own by next summer, to go to the pool, the park and friends’ houses.
